The English food writer Bee Wilson wrote a fine essay about how our senses are used less and less when you choose your food. And why that's a bad thing. The Guardian is publishing the story today as a pre-publication.

Bee Wilson on eating and the senses

Bee Wilson’s story ‘Eating with your senses switched off’ has been translated into Dutch for the Flevo Campus essay collection Hunters and Gatherers in the supermarket. The book (in Dutch) is available for purchase here. A presentation will also be organized in Almere on 13 May.
